Fort privacy policy
Fort keeps everything you log on your device only. There are no accounts, servers, ads or analytics.
What is stored
In the app's database, on your device:
- Your routines and the exercises you add
- Your workouts, sets and weights
- Your body weight, if you log it
- Your profile, if you fill it in: height, date of birth and gender
- Your preferences: appearance, units and language
- Your notification preferences, with the day and time of the weigh-in reminder
This data lives in the app's private storage, which the system keeps other apps from accessing.
What the app doesn't do
- Ask you for an account or required personal details
- Send anything over the internet
- Use analytics or tracking
- Show ads
Permissions
- Notifications: to show the notification of the workout in progress and the weigh-in reminder. They are optional and can be turned off in the app or in the system settings.
- Run at startup: to schedule the weigh-in reminder again after the phone restarts, because Android clears its alarms when it turns off.
Backups
If you have system backups turned on (Google), your data may be included in them, like any other app's. Those backups depend on your account, not on the app.
You can also export your data from Settings. It creates a file with everything you log, your profile included, and you decide where to save it or who to send it to. The app only keeps the last exported copy, in its private storage. When you import, the app reads only the file you choose.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app deletes everything it had stored on your device. Copies you exported and saved elsewhere are not deleted.
Exercise images
The exercise images are generated with artificial intelligence (OpenAI).

Changes
If a future version changes how your data is handled (for example, to sync it between devices), it will be explained here before it happens.
